Welcome to the FSKI website
The FSKI is an organisation dedicated to 'O' Sensei Gichin Funakoshi and his traditional Shotokan Karate, as taught by our panel of highly experienced senior instructors. Our objective is to develop and maintain an organisation, teaching to the highest standard in Shotokan Karate.
Courses are run throughout the year by members of the Executive Committee and visiting instructors. This ensures that the knowledge of the FSKI instructors is handed down to the students, guaranteeing continued growth and progression in both Budo (the way) and Waza (the technique).
For this reason, unlike other Karate Associations, being a Kyu Grading Examiner is only attainable on reaching 3rd Dan.
